Feliciana Birds & John James Audubon   “In 1821 John James Audubon spent four months at Oakley Plantation, primarily as tutor to Eliza Pirrie, but utilizing much of his free time collecting and painting birds for his monumental work, Birds of America.  Audubon State Historic Site, the site of Oakley Plantation, in is in heart of what Audubon referred to as his “Happy Land.”  This historic site offers the visitor a glimpse of plantation life of the early 19th Century and a sampling of Audubon’s relatively brief visit here.  But this site offers the birder or naturalist much more.  It offers the opportunity for the visitor to enjoy the rich natural setting around Oakley in much the same way the great naturalist , Audubon, himself, experienced it.”  The Office of State Parks, State of Louisiana, USA

Golf at The Bluffs
The Bluffs Golf Course, designed by Arnold Palmer, is an 18-Hole Championship Course.  Advance tee times are required.  Please call the Pro Shop (225-634-5757).  The Course opens promptly at 7:00 a.m., but is closed on Monday.

All Lodge Guests play for $50 + tax which includes cart and range balls.  Please identify yourself as a Lodge Guest when you schedule your tee time.  All payments for Golf are made directly to the Pro Shop and are not included in your suite rate. 

The Lodge is offering a Stay & Play Rate of $109 + tax for Weekdays (Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).The Stay & Play Rate for the Weekends (Friday & Saturday) is $129 + tax. Reservations at this Rate are non-refundable.

The Chapel A non-denominational Chapel open daily to all Bluff's residents, guests and members for prayer and meditation. The Chapel can be rented for Weddings with a maximum capacity of 70.  Please call for availability for both The Chapel and accommodations at The Lodge.
